Terms of Service
Last updated 4 August 2026
These terms cover your use of Bookbind at bookbind.co. Using the service means you accept them. They are written to be read, not to be impenetrable — if something here is unclear, email us and we will explain it plainly.
1. What Bookbind does
You describe a book. Bookbind determines a suitable format, proposes titles, plans the chapters or pages, generates the text and artwork, designs a cover, and packages files intended for publishing platforms such as Amazon Kindle Direct Publishing. You approve each stage and may edit or regenerate anything.
2. You own what you make
You hold all rights to the books you create with Bookbind. We claim no ownership, no licence to resell your work, and no share of your royalties. We do not publish anything on your behalf and we do not list your book anywhere.
We keep a copy of your project on our systems so you can return to it, and we process it through third-party AI providers to generate it. That is the extent of it. See the Privacy Policy for detail.
3. AI-generated content, and what that means for you
Text and images are produced by AI models. Several consequences follow, and you should understand all of them before publishing:
- Copyright in AI output is unsettled and varies by country. In the United States, the Copyright Office has held that purely machine-generated material is not itself protected by copyright, while human authorship — your selection, editing and arrangement — can be. We cannot give you legal advice on this and do not guarantee any particular copyright status for your book.
- Platforms require disclosure. Amazon KDP asks whether content is AI-generated. Answer accurately. Misreporting risks your publishing account, which matters far more than the answer itself.
- Output is a draft, not a finished product. Generated text can be wrong, generic, or inadvertently similar to existing work. Read your book before you publish it. You are responsible for what you put your name on.
- Nothing is exclusive. Another user giving a similar prompt may receive similar output. We do not promise uniqueness.
4. What you must not do
- Create material that infringes someone else's copyright or trademark.
- Impersonate a real person or organisation, or present fabricated material as a genuine record, account or endorsement.
- Create sexual content involving minors, or content that harasses or endangers a real person.
- Upload photographs of identifiable people to a storybook without their permission, or of children without the permission of a parent or guardian.
- Resell access to Bookbind itself, or scrape or automate the service.
We may suspend an account that breaches this. Where we do, we will tell you why and let you export work already paid for.
5. Payment and refunds
Planning and previewing a book are free. Payment is one-off and per book, unlocking the watermark-free package. There is no subscription and no recurring charge.
If the package we deliver is broken, incomplete, or not what was described, tell us and we will fix it or refund you in full. Because the file is delivered immediately and cannot be returned, we do not refund simply because you changed your mind about the idea, or because the writing is not to your taste — the free preview exists so you can judge that before paying. Contact samabuzarifa@gmail.com.
6. Availability
We aim to keep the service running and your projects retrievable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. Generation depends on third-party AI providers who may be slow, unavailable, or may change their models. Download and keep your own copy of any book that matters to you rather than relying on us to store it forever.
7. Liability
Bookbind is provided as-is. To the fullest extent the law allows, our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the book in question. We are not liable for lost profits, lost royalties, or removal of your listing by a publishing platform.
Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, and if you are a consumer, your statutory rights are unaffected.
8. Changes
We may update these terms. If a change materially affects your rights we will give notice in the app before it takes effect. Continuing to use Bookbind after that means you accept the revised terms.
