Writing and editing

Adding your own stories and knowledge

The one thing that makes it your book and not just a book.

This is the most useful thing you can do, and most people skip it.

While the plan is on screen

Bookbind asks: is there one story, example or hard-won lesson of yours this book must include?

Type it in. Even three sentences. It gets woven into the writing, in your words. This is the difference between a book about your subject and your book about your subject.

Any time, in the chat box

Just type it. Something like:

"Use this: when I first tried this I failed for three weeks. What finally worked was moving my alarm clock across the room."

Bookbind keeps it and uses it in the chapters written after that.

Uploading documents

In classic view there is a Sources section where you can upload notes, documents and PDFs, or paste a sample of your own writing so the book sounds like you.
