Your first book, step by step

1. Type your idea

Click New book and write one or two sentences. Plain language is best.

Good: "A short guide to growing herbs on a balcony for people who kill every plant."

You do not need to know what format it should be. Bookbind decides that.

2. Answer up to two questions

Sometimes Bookbind asks one or two things it genuinely cannot guess — like who the book is for. If your sentence already answered everything, it asks nothing and goes straight to the plan.

3. Look at the plan

You get a title and every chapter listed out, plus the exact price in credits. Nothing has been charged yet. Read it. If it is not right, say so in the chat box and it changes.

4. Approve it

This is the only moment credits are spent. After this, Bookbind writes the whole book.

5. Wait

The book writes itself. You can close the tab or shut your laptop — it keeps going on our servers, and every chapter is saved the moment it is finished.

6. Read it and fix anything

Click any chapter to read it. You can rewrite it, or bring back an earlier version.

7. Download

Click Download for KDP. The download is free — your credits already paid for it.
